Messi gave Barcelona hope of making it back in the tie against PSG, but he also took it away before the end of the first half.
After scoring one of the best goals of the season with a long-range shot, Messi took the responsibility of scoring a penalty kick before the first half's conclusion. Unfortunately for the Argentine, his shot was not as accurate as he would have wanted, prompting a massive save by Keylor Navas.
Navas, who had been impressive for the entire first half, capped a great performance in the opening 45 minutes with a key save. Have a look at Messi's missed penalty (Image might be geo-restricted).

As usual, fans were not satisfied with Messi's miss from the spot, and while a miss such as this one is not unusual, Messi had spent quite a bit of time without failing to score from the PK spot.
2015 - Lionel Messi has failed to score a penalty attempt in the UEFA Champions League for the first time since February 2015 against Manchester City, having scored each of his previous eight spot kicks in the competition before today. Uncharacteristic. pic.twitter.com/UzeS1hFFkM
