The club aired the game in France on their official page despite not holding broadcasting rights.

On Tuesday, PSG enjoyed a memorable win in the Champions League but a huge farce from the club could land them in hot waters.

Les Parisiens made the trip to Man United for the first leg of their round of 16 clash, and despite a number of crucial injuries, the French champion came away with a 2-0 victory. However, while the players executed their job according to plan, the men in the suits committed a huge farce by streaming the game live on their Facebook page in France.

What is the problem, one may ask. The answer is simple: only one channel has exclusive rights to air the Champions League in France and that is RMC Sport.

The channel pays roughly $396M for the rights of UEFA's club competitions, including the Europa League, and thus the game was aired on RMC Sport 1 and RMC Sport en direct for their paid subscribers. However, the match was streamed on the club's official Facebook page via Facebook Watch, with more than 1.4 million people tuning in.

This copyright infringement left everyone shocked, even those at RMC Sport. The rights holders are looking into this incident, but even those at PSG could not give an explanation for this blunder. The Ligue 1 heavyweight informed Le Parisien that they have an agreement to broadcast the game on Facebook in Brazil only, hence why the commentary was in Portuguese, but this doesn't answer why the stream was available to those in France.

This could be blamed on a geolocation blunder but the team has some explaining to do nonetheless. As for the squad, they will be in an excellent mood after winning 2-0 at Old Trafford. All that is left for Mbappe and Co. is to see out the return leg to make the quarter-finals.
