With Marcelo seemingly being a lock, CR7 wants a former Real midfielder to join the bianconeri next summer.

James Rodríguez knows that his time at Bayern will end in the next few months. His lack of playing time and the team's refusal to pay his buyout clause seem to be the main reasons for his departure, along with the bad relationship the Colombian footballer has with coach Niko Kovac.

Fortunately for the South American ace, there are still some teams interested in his services, which would suit Real Madrid's plans properly. Los Blancos are yet undecided about the player's future, but if they choose to part ways with the Colombian, the option of selling the player's rights to Juventus may be an interesting scenario for all those involved.

According to a report by Spanish website Don Balón, Juve's interest in Rodríguez comes as a direct request by Cristiano Ronaldo. Both footballers shared three seasons in the Spanish capital, and the Portuguese ace seems keen on teaming up with the Colombian.

CR7 has been trying to lure some of his Real Madrid pals to Italy, and his efforts could see Rodríguez and Marcelo joining the current Serie A leaders next summer.

There are two possible setbacks in this potential deal. The first one would come if Real Madrid decided to keep the player around. This scenario will be solved once Los Blancos appoint their permanent boss for the next season. The second setback is Real Madrid's clause in the player's loan deal with Bayern. The Bavarian sude might choose to invest in James' rights to sell him to the highest bidder, which would force the bianconeri -or any other team- to splash cash if they want to have the player around.

Be that as it may, having CR7's blessing could be just what James Rodríguez needs to continue playing in a top-caliber team. Only time will tell if these former team-mates will terrorize European defenders together again.
