Atalanta will take on reigning Coppa Italia holders Juventus in the quarter-finals on Wednesday, January 30th. Can they stage what would be a huge upset against the Bianconeri?

Current form: Atalanta vs Juventus

Juventus remain firmly in control of the Serie A title race, and with Napoli dropping points during a scoreless stalemate against AC Milan last weekend, the Bianconeri now have surged 11 points clear. At this point, it looks pretty much impossible to imagine Massimiliano Allegri's men giving up their lead in the race for the Scudetto, and so with that secured, they will be looking to add another Coppa Italia and hopefully the Champions League to their trophy haul this season.

The Bianconeri have already clinched the Supercoppa Italiana this season after beating AC Milan in Jeddah earlier this month and will travel now to face Atalanta as they aim to defend their Coppa Italia title. Not surprisingly, La Vecchia Signora are the heavy favorites to come out on top here, as they have only lost twice in all competitions this season - against Manchester United and a shock loss to Swiss outfit Young Boys in the Champions League.

That being said, La Dea have steadily improved over the course of this season, and led by the impressive exploits of Colombian striker Duvan Zapata, who is joint-tied with Cristiano Ronaldo with 15 goals, Atalanta will certainly be hoping to cause Juventus some problems when the reigning Coppa Italia holders arrive in Bergamo later this evening. The hosts come into this game having lost just one of their last five Serie A games and sit in a solid seventh spot, which is a remarkable improvement considering their awful start to the season that saw them battling relegation at one point.

How they got here: Atalanta vs Juventus

Atalanta successfully saw off Cagliari at the first stage 2-0 and will be looking to pull off an impressive upset against the current holders as the Coppa Italia presents their only chance of silverware this season.

Meanwhile, 13-time Coppa Italia winners Juventus saw off Bologna in the round of 16 to set up a clash with La Dea and will be hoping to face either Roma or Fiorentina in the next round.
