Former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has revealed something that many United fans would not want to hear.

Call it mind games or something else, but Jose Mourinho is one tactician who knows how to play his cards pretty well. The ex-Chelsea boss has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford to replace Louis Van Gaal, whose side risks missing Champions League action next season after going down 3-2 to West Ham on Tuesday. The result added more pressure on Dutch tactician Louis Van Gaal to leave Man Utd this summer, hence paving way for Mou’s arrival.

However, several reports in England also suggest that some Man United executives and players are split regarding the issue of the outspoken tactician taking over from LVG, who could be shown the door at the end of the season even if the club wins the FA Cup.

But Mourinho, a former Inter Milan, FC Porto and Real Madrid boss, recently revealed that he did not know anything about his much-talked-about move to the Manchester giants. As reported by the The Sun, the 53-year-old revealed:

“There is plenty of time [regarding his next job].”

“In July, I will be back. So we are in May. May to July is nothing.

“I keep enjoying my life which I’m doing, keep enjoying my family. But in July I am back.”

When asked about the Man United job, he added:

"I don't know. I know nothing about it really. I don't have a club."

Although several media reports have previously suggested that the Portuguese boss had signed a pre-agreement contract with Man Utd, he has maintained that he is not tied to any club at the moment. But Mourinho being the same cunning Mourinho, whose glittering career has been characterized by mind games, Man United fans can expect the unexpected.
