TV8 History, Coverage, Features
TV8 is a generalist television network in Italy. It is operated by Nuova Società Televisiva Italiana and broadcasts in SD (576i) and HD (1080i). TV8 was launched in August 2015 and was previously known as MTV, then MTV8. It came to life after Sky Italia took over MTV Italy, and the channel has since focused its programming on documentaries, TV shows, TV series, and various sorts of other entertainment content. News programs have been taken from Sky TG24.
In the past, TV8 has inherited some sports broadcast rights from Sky Italia and has covered various sporting events, including the Formula 1 World Championship and UEFA Europa League.
